Barts Bash 2016

Barts Bash at Bewl on 18 September 2016. Quite a significant day in the 27 year history of MoB. This was the first time that members of MoB made it to the start line of a race which was open to all. No special starts, no special arrangements, no exceptions - just members of MoB joining in with the regular racing activity. This is what MoB is all about - integrated sailing at Bewl.  Once again MoB members made it happen - even if it took a little time!.

Light and shifting winds made it quite difficult at times and none of us were near the front of the fleet - but that did not matter one bit  - we were there as sailors and like everybody else taking part, just doing all we could to find the wind and then harness it to get around the course as quickly as we could.

Lets double the number of people entering the event next year. As a member of MoB the dinghies are there for you to use. If you want to give it a go and want help/support in improving our racing skills just tell the Senior Instructor on a Saturday morning and they will help. Over to you..
